A New York Police Officer is killed, by what appears to be a walking corpse, while investigating what they thought was an abandoned boat. Ann Bowles (Tisa Farrow) discovers that the boat belong to her father who is missing. Ms. Bowles gets the help of a reporter, Peter West (Ian McCulloch), in trying to locating her father, a search which leads to the island of Matool. On the island they learn that Bowles' father died trying to fight a disease which is causing the dead to come back to life. Now that they have learned the truth will they be able to leave the island ?
